What Life Blood actually is, and isn't.
What is Life Blood?
Hop-infused kombucha, brewed in Aberdeen. Fermented tea, a specific hop blend, time. Every flavour comes from the hops, not fruit, not syrup, not a flavour lab. Four in the range right now: The Original, Hopical Punch, Mangosaurus and Lemondrop. Root Ginger Beer is on the way.
Kombucha? Isn't that a wellness thing?
Some people call it wellness. We call it common sense. We ferment tea the way it's meant to be done and we didn't add rubbish to it. Somewhere along the way that got filed under "health and wellness" and given a price tag to match. We'd rather you just liked how it tastes.
Does it taste like fruit?
No fruit, no juice, no concentrate, anywhere in the range. Every flavour, tropical, citrus, mango, comes from the hop blend in that specific can. Nothing added on top to fake it.
Has Life Blood won any awards?
Nine and counting. Great Taste Award (2023), Most Innovative Business at the NE Scotland Food & Drink Awards (2025), Drinks Business of the Year, Best New Product, and more since 2021.
Ingredients & nutrition
What's in the can, and what isn't.
Does Life Blood contain alcohol?
No. Fermentation can produce trace alcohol, but Life Blood sits below the detectable threshold. Zero-ABV. No licence needed to sell it, no age check needed to buy it.
Does it have caffeine in it?
Yes, a small amount from the tea it's brewed from, roughly 8 to 11mg a can depending on flavour. A standard cup of tea has around 40mg, coffee more like 80 to 100mg. So a can sits well under either.
How much sugar is in it?
3g per 100ml, 39 calories a can, under the UK sugar tax threshold. We're not chasing zero sugar, we just don't use much and we're honest about the number.
Are there any artificial sweeteners?
None. No aspartame, no sucralose, no stevia blends. Nothing standing in for sugar.
Is Life Blood vegan?
Yes. Every flavour, every can.
Is it gluten free?
Yes. Every flavour, every can.
What about allergens?
No allergens in the ingredients themselves. It's produced in a facility that also handles nuts. If that matters for you or someone you're buying for, email us and we'll give you a straight answer.
Is Life Blood halal or kosher certified?
We don't currently hold formal halal or kosher certification. If that's what you need to know before buying, get in touch and we'll talk you through the ingredients honestly.
Can I drink it if I'm pregnant, breastfeeding, or managing a health condition?
We're not medically qualified to tell you that, and we won't guess. Life Blood contains a small amount of caffeine and is a fermented product, so if any of that applies to you, check with your doctor or midwife first. That's the honest answer, not a wellness slogan.

What sizes can I buy online?
Single 330ml cans, or 12, 24 and 48 packs. Mixed-flavour packs are available too if you can't pick just one.
How much is delivery, and how long does it take?
Costs and timings show at checkout before you pay anything, they vary by order size and where you're shipping to.
My discount code won't work.
Check it's typed exactly as sent (capitals and spaces matter), it's still in date, and your basket qualifies. Still stuck? Email us the code and we'll sort it.
My order arrived damaged, or something's missing.
Email support@drinklifeblood.com with a photo and your order number. We'll sort it, no drama, no runaround.
Can I return or exchange an order?
Email support@drinklifeblood.com and tell us what's wrong. Small team, real people, we'll work it out with you directly.

How does the subscription work?
Pick your flavours, set a delivery schedule, and it turns up without you thinking about it again.
Do I save money by subscribing?
Yes, subscribers get a discount on every recurring order, on top of whatever pack size you choose.
Can I change my flavours, or pause a delivery?
Yes to both. Manage it from your account, or email us and we'll change it for you.
Can I cancel any time?
